>What are we living for?

What will you pour your life out for? What are you giving yourself to? As I watched Michael Phelps win 8 gold medals in the Beijing Olympics this summer, I was struck by the way that he has completely given himself to swimming. He knows his lane in life. Everyone that I can think of, that has left an indelible mark on human history, has known their lane and ran (or swam) as fast as they possibly could toward their vision. The moments of Micheal Phelps victories at the Olympics that we watched from the comfort our couches, came at a cost for him, that is hard to appreciate. Many of the gold medalist at the games said “I worked hard for this.” And their obviously not kidding!

It’s a good reminder that we must close the gap between our vision and the level of commitment that we are willing to give our vision.

Find your lane.

Swim as fast as you can.
